SIC – one the UK’s longest-standing electrical sub-contract manufacturing firms, has implemented a host of new measures to ensure continuity of supply to their domestic and international client base, which includes the critical medical supply sectors. The challenges of the government’s COVID 19 social distancing and working protocols have prompted SIC to upweight it’s digitisation, diversify supply sources and revise procedures at the manufacturing plant, meaning the company is not only supporting existing orders but also taking on new orders.
“We’ve responded swiftly, taking strategic measures to protect both our supply reliability and our staff, and are seeing a changing but active order book. While some of our customers are on ‘pause’ during these unprecedented times, others – in particular those within the medical sector – are busier than ever, and it’s our privilege to be able to serve this sector”. Explains Anthony Roberts, Managing Director.
SIC provides a full manufacturing service to UK and international OEMs in the medical, catering, hospitality, gaming, automotive, IT and industrial sectors. With wiring harnesses, control boxes, panel wiring, full machine assembly and sourcing expertise, the company is one of only a handful of family-owned and run manufacturing facilities able to provide global expertise from our facility.
