Data can be received electronically or more traditionally, through hard copy. Prototypes can then be produced with the minimum of delay and with a guarantee of manufacturability.
At SIC, this is a consultative process and an assembly going through the initial sample procedure for the first time is rigorously checked and evaluated for the application feasibility required. Often our team will find cycle time, material cost or quality-enhancing alternatives during this process which we’ll pass on to our customers, who can then make an informed choice about their products’ manufacture.
All prototypes or pre-production quantities dispatched will be accompanied with either an Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) or a Parts Submission Warrant (PSW) depending on the specific requirements of the customer or market sector conditions. We do this so that we complete the customer feedback loop before sign off for production.
This requirement, in addition to our ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, UL, NICEIC and IPC accreditation’s, is observed whether we are dealing with wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, control boxes or panel wiring.
Our engineering team will always perform an initial design feasibility review of all enquiries submitted to us, along with any assembly drawings or bill of materials. This ensures that we fully understand the product design requirements to ensure that the final assembly is fit for purpose.
Once we ensure your design can be accurately and cost-effectively manufactured to the highest quality levels. Our engineering team will always perform a value analysis and will offer any value-engineered solutions that will satisfy the project requirements highlighting areas of cost savings to your business.
We appoint a dedicated account manager to every enquiry we receive, and they will identify the manufacturing scope of the project and what the project targets are in terms of delivery time and budgets. This initial discussion creates the framework for the project that can be referenced throughout the manufacturing process.
Once the manufacturing process has been agreed and signed off by yourself, we then begin manufacture of the product in line with our stringent company certifications (including ISO9001 & ISO14001) and UL, NICEIC & IPC industry regulations.
We design and produce our own in house testing equipment for all the items that we manufacture and provide 100% test capability. All of our electrical assemblies are tested in house, regardless of complexity through our bespoke testing equipment.
