The scheme has been running for several years now and is open only to Mars Drinks assured suppliers, the Gold Standard Award for Quality Performance is for those suppliers who meet and exceed the requirements laid out by Mars Drinks for the highest levels of quality. The award focuses on the Quality Management Procedures in place ensuring that everything supplied is of a consistent high quality with on-time delivery performance.
Mars Drinks present this award to the supplier who achieves specific criteria in terms of product quality and service delivery. For 2012, the criteria for the Gold Standard Award for Quality Performance included better than target parts per million rejected, better than target on time in full delivery performance and a consistently high level of customer service.
